A unique jungle experience
Why this place?
4 years ago we were lucky to find this place.
We got to know Manu and Xio, the visionaries of this beautiful project,
at one of Georg’s popular vegan cooking courses.
The chemistry was right and the stories about their place in the jungle aroused curiosity.
We ended up spending almost a year there. A lot of heart and soul has gone into this project.
A piece of home feeling that we are looking forward to share with you.
Training in the jungle?
Do not worry, there is sufficient comfort when exercising and playing.
Yoga platforms / puzzle mats and with some help of the longe for the more difficult tricks is possible.
Accommodation?
You have the choice between double and multi-bed cabins, with a breathtaking view.
Lovingly prepared and with appropriate comfort for a relaxed night in the jungle
We are a unique farming experience
Finca Las Hormigas is located in a 45 Hectare / 110-acre property between the town of Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coastline and the Sixaola River on the Costa Rican / Panama border.
The farm property is composed of approximately 20% virgin lowland tropical rainforest, 50% recuperating secondary forest that had been logged over 20 years ago, and the remaining 30% old cattle pastures.

How to get there:
1st option
International Airport San Jose (Juan Santamaria) / you can find flight tickets online (e.g. Skyscanner, Kiwi)
Possible overnight stay in San Jose e.g. at Costa rica Backpackers Hostel from 14 Dollar a night.
Continue by bus from the Bus Terminal Mepe in the center of San Jose,
direction Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (approx. 5 hours, costs 10 Dollar)
We will pick you up at the bus terminal in Puerto Viejo.
2nd option
or flight via San Jose to Limon and from there by bus to Puerto Viejo about 1 hour.
When you arrive in Puerto Viejo, we will pick you up.
